from recorder to Podcast
I found the last class about podcasts really interesting. I love learning new ways of communication, and I had no idea that this so called "podcasting" even existed. During the scavenger hunt I could not help but laugh at myself for having a flashback... Does anyone remember the movie Home Alone? How about the hand-held recording device that Mcauley Caulkin uses to minipulate the voices of people? Thats right I said it..."the TALKBOY" hahah. I feel like that was the extent of my technological recording skills before last week's class, especially because I used to own a pink "TALKGIRL". Thanks you Liz and Jeff for ultimatley saving my future students from dealing with my stupidity, and my own embarassment!

So I just saw on your blog that you're from Rochester...Me too!! I can't believe I didn't know this! What high school did you go to? I went to Adams and graduated in '02....:)
I actually had a lot of fun working on the podcasting scavenger hunt with you. I was glad to be given the opportunity to run around and goof off and give people the chance to laugh at us. I think that family we talked to at the beginning, as well as the staff and patrons of Red Hot Lovers, were quite entertained.
Hopefully we can use podcasting as usefully and creatively as Kevin used his Talkboy in Home Alone. I love that movie.
Emily L used gabcast podcasting with her Spanish students last year...we'll have to ask her about it tomorrow when she visits MAC.
I always wanted a "Talkgirl" after seeing that movie (I didn't get one though)!! I had completely forgotten about those!
